Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A helicopter flying near a popular coastal beach suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Recordings posted online depict the chopper beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then plunging near the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck between palms and a staircase near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders stated five individuals were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
