David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
