1. Star Talent Palmer Fit for Crucial Capital Clash with Arsenal

The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed on Friday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the squad's vital top-flight fixture against London rivals Arsenal.

The young English midfielder was unavailable due to a fractured toe sustained after an accidental incident.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca said. “All involved are pleased.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has been limited to four outings across all competitions, finding the net on two occasions.

Since his arrival from City in 2023, he has achieved 45 scores and 29 helpers in 101 matches for the London club.

“He is our most valuable asset, we are pleased he is back, we need to provide him with time to be fully fit,” Maresca continued. “He has been brilliant historically and no doubt he is going to do exceptionally well for this club in the future.”

2. Everton Get No Reason for Rejected Gueye Dismissal Challenge

The Merseyside club were unsuccessful in their challenge against Idrissa Gueye's dismissal for an on-field altercation with fellow player Michael Keane during the squad's narrow win at Manchester United.

The 36-year-old Senegal player was dismissed only early on into the match after hitting Keane amid a disagreement over a poor pass.

The player immediately apologized, and the pair appeared reconciled later in a light-hearted online post.

However, the appeal against the red card was denied, and Gueye must complete a three-game suspension, making Everton depleted for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle.

“We lodged an appeal and it was unsuccessful,” coach David Moyes revealed. “We received no rationale for the denial but we did appeal it.”

Inquired about additional consequences from the incident, Moyes added: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we progressed rapidly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

3. Wissa Trains with Newcastle for Initial Session since Injury

Newcastle United's new signing Yoane Wissa has trained with his new teammates for the first time since suffering a knee injury soon after his arrival from Brentford in September.

Manager Eddie Howe confirmed the development on the end of the week but did not disclose a potential comeback timeline for the 29-year-old.

Murillo was feeling his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 Europa League victory, but Dyche indicated the player “should be fine”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), the striker (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to be unavailable.
