Kansas City Chiefs State They Are Aware of Alleged Abuse Claims Connected to Player the Athlete

The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night confirming they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a ex-partner of wide receiver the athlete and were in communication with the NFL.

The organization did not mention the player by name in their announcement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Claims Shared on Social Media

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, posted a series of photos on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has two children with the football player, whom the team drafted in the second round.

Police Reports Reportedly Not on File

No official complaints were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have occurred.
