Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Around 2,000 US Jobs – Update
Paramount Skydance plans to begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional global layoffs are expected, as the firm planning to reveal complete information via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization has not yet commented on the matter.
